Open Source software

Open Source software is software waarvan de broncode vrij is gegeven. Deze software ontwikkelt zich door wereldwijde samenwerking van programmeurs via het internet. De software kent geen eigenaar en is daarom voor iedereen vrij beschikbaar.

Wij gebruiken onder andere de volgende Open Source software:

  • COIN-OR is a collection of state-of-the-art models and algorithms for Operations Research.
  • Dev-C++ is an full-featured Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Win32.
  • Free Pascal is a multi-CPU architecture and multi-Operating System compiler.
  • GLPK is intended for solving large-scale linear programming (LP), mixed integer programming (MIP) and other related problems.
  • GMP is a library for arbitrary precision arithmetic, operating on signed integers, rational numbers, and floating point numbers.
  • Gretl is a package for regression, econometrics and time-series analysis.
  • Java is a platform-independent, object oriented programming language.
  • Joone is a neural network framework to create, train and test artificial neural networks.
  • Kettle is a tool for extracting, transforming and loading data (ETL).
  • Linux is a Unix-type operating system.
  • Lazarus is the class libraries for Free Pascal that emulate Delphi.
  • Lp_solve solves pure linear, (mixed) integer/binary, semi-continuous and special ordered sets (SOS) models.
  • MySQL is a multithreaded, multi-user, SQL relational database server.
  • OpenForecast is a package of general purpose forecasting models.
  • Pentaho is a complete integrated business intelligence platform.
  • PHP is a server-side HTML-embedded scripting language.
  • R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics.
